Tony Yazbeck: podcast appearances and interviews

Tony Yazbeck, born on March 14, 1979, is an American actor, singer, and dancer known for his extensive work on the Broadway stage. His notable performances include roles in productions such as the revival of On the Town, where he received nominations for a Tony Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award for lead actor in a musical. Yazbeck has also portrayed principal roles in Broadway shows including Finding Neverland, Gypsy, Chicago, White Christmas, A Chorus Line, and participated in the original casts of Never Gonna Dance and Oklahoma. He made his Broadway debut at age eleven in Gypsy, starring Tyne Daly. His career extends to television and film; he appeared on NBC's Smash and was featured in the documentary Every Little Step, which examines the casting process for A Chorus Line. In 2014, Yazbeck performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the Promenade Concerts. More recently, he originated a leading role in the musical Flying Over Sunset, directed by James Lapine, which began performances at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre in 2021 after delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Outside of his performing career, Yazbeck is engaged in arts education as a member of the board of the YOUNG/ARTS program of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts.
