Charles Anthony Thomas, born Charles Anthony Jacobs on December 7, 1948, is an American television and film producer known for his extensive work in the entertainment industry. He was a producer for the feature film Dead Poets Society, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture in 1989, as well as for the film Insomnia and other projects. During his career, he contributed to numerous successful television series from the 1970s into the 1990s, including The Golden Girls, which garnered him two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series and three consecutive Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy. Additionally, he produced series such as Blossom and many other shows. He is also recognized as the co-founder of Witt/Thomas Productions, a production company with a notable history in the industry. Currently, Tony Thomas is serving as Program Director at KVRO Radio Station, applying his broad experience in entertainment to his leadership role within radio broadcasting.
