Thomas James Laughlin, born on February 13, 1971, is an American professional wrestler and promoter known by the ring name Tommy Dreamer. He gained fame primarily through his tenures with Extreme Championship Wrestling in the 1990s and early 2000s, as well as with World Wrestling Entertainment from 2001 to 2010. Dreamer has held multiple championships including the ECW World Heavyweight Championship twice, making him the only wrestler to win the title in both the original ECW and WWE's ECW brand. Additionally, he has held the ECW World Tag Team Championship and the WWF/E Hardcore Championship. Recognized as the heart and soul of ECW, Dreamer featured prominently in storylines for the promotion and held various roles behind the scenes. Beyond ECW and WWE, he has appeared in other notable wrestling promotions such as Impact Wrestling/TNA, Ring of Honor, and AAA. After leaving WWE in 2010, Dreamer joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and was part of an ECW-inspired stable known as EV 2.0. In 2012, he founded his own wrestling promotion, House of Hardcore, named after ECW’s former wrestling school. Since then, Dreamer has made sporadic appearances with WWE in later years and has been active on the independent circuit, contributing to the wrestling industry as a performer and promoter.
