Thomas M. Nelson, born on March 3, 1976, is the author of The Flourishing Pastor. He is affiliated with Nelson Container Corporation. Nelson has had a career in public administration and politics, serving as the county executive of Outagamie County, Wisconsin, since 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served in the Wisconsin State Assembly for six years, during which he was the Democratic majority leader for the 2009-2010 session. Nelson ran in the 2022 Democratic primary for the United States Senate but withdrew from the race in late July and endorsed Mandela Barnes. Additionally, he has been a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in 2016 and for lieutenant governor in 2010, though he was not successful in these campaigns.
