Thomas Andrew Felton is an English actor born on 22 September 1987 and raised in Surrey. He began his entertainment career appearing in commercials before making his screen debut as Peagreen Clock in the film The Borrowers in 1997. Felton is best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the film adaptations of the Harry Potter series, starting with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 2001 and concluding with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 in 2011. His performance as Malfoy became a defining part of his career. In addition to his work in the Harry Potter franchise, Felton appeared in other films including Rise of the Planet of the Apes in 2011, and independent films such as From the Rough in 2011 and The Apparition in 2012. His television work includes a role as Viscount Trencavel in the 2012 miniseries Labyrinth and as James Ashford in the 2013 acclaimed period drama Belle. Felton has also played recurring characters on television, including a murder suspect in TNT's Murder in the First in 2015, and Doctor Alchemy on The CW's The Flash starting in 2014. He has co-starred in feature films such as Feed, Stratton, and Megan Leavey in 2017. His recent work includes a series regular role on the 2018 science fiction series Origin and a role as Laertes in the 2018 film Ophelia, both of which received critical praise. In 2020, Felton played the villain in the family horror film A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting.
