Tom DiNapoli: podcast appearances and interviews

Thomas Peter DiNapoli, born on February 10, 1954, is an American politician who has been serving as the 54th and current New York State Comptroller since 2007. As of 2026, he is the second longest-serving comptroller in the history of New York. DiNapoli was elected to this position by a bipartisan majority of the New York State Legislature on February 7, 2007, and has subsequently been re-elected by voters in 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022. In his re-election campaigns, he received more votes than any other candidate for statewide office in both 2014 and 2018. Prior to his role as comptroller, DiNapoli served as a member of the New York State Assembly for the 16th district in northwestern Nassau County, beginning his term in 1986. He spent twenty years in the Assembly, during which he chaired several committees including the Environmental Conservation Committee, the Local Governments Committee, and the Governmental Operations Committee. Throughout his political career, DiNapoli has been affiliated with the Democratic Party and has played a significant role in state government through his various legislative and executive positions.
