Tim Parkin: podcast appearances and interviews

Tim Parkin is a professor affiliated with Parkin Consulting. His background includes a career as a professional footballer, predominantly in England. He played as a defender and made a total of 422 league appearances during a 14-year career in the English Football League. Parkin began his playing career at Blackburn Rovers in 1976 and later spent two years with Swedish club Malmö FF. During his time with Malmö FF, he participated in the final of the Intercontinental Cup, won the Svenska Cupen in 1980, and contributed to the club's second-place finish in the Allsvenskan. He returned to England in 1981 to join Bristol Rovers before transferring to Swindon Town in 1986, where he helped secure promotion out of the Third Division via the play-offs in 1987. In December 1989, he was purchased by Port Vale and was later loaned out to Shrewsbury Town. His career continued at Darlington, where he also served as co-caretaker manager for a period in 1993. He finished his playing days with non-League side Barrow before retiring due to injury. After his football career, he became a police officer.
