Tim Minchin: podcast appearances and interviews

Timothy David Minchin, born on October 7, 1975, is a British-Australian musical comedian and actor known for his diverse contributions to the performing arts. He has released six CDs, five DVDs, and numerous live comedy shows that have been performed internationally. Minchin gained widespread recognition with his show Darkside, which was critically acclaimed at the 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the 2005 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In addition to his comedy career, he has a background in theatre and has appeared in various stage productions, as well as small acting roles on Australian television. A documentary film about Minchin, titled Rock n Roll Nerd, was released in 2008 and broadcast by ABC1 in 2009. As a composer and lyricist, he has contributed to acclaimed theatrical productions including Matilda the Musical, which has won Olivier, Tony, and Grammy nominations, and Groundhog Day The Musical, which has also received Olivier and Tony nominations. Minchin was recognized with honorary degrees from the University of Western Australia, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, and Edith Cowan University for his significant contributions to the arts. His television work includes playing rock star Atticus Fetch on Californication and starring as Lucky Flynn in the series Upright. In 2020, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for his service to the performing arts and the community.
