Tim Conway: podcast appearances and interviews

Tim Conway was an American actor, comedian, writer, and director celebrated for his work in television and film. He is perhaps best known for his role as a regular cast member on The Carol Burnett Show from 1975 to 1978, where he portrayed the characters Mister Tudball and the Oldest Man. Conway was recognized for his physical comedy and improvisational skills, often departing from scripts to create humorous ad libs and gestures that frequently caused fellow cast members to break character. His career began in local Cleveland television, where he collaborated with Ernie Anderson, and he later gained national recognition appearing on The Steve Allen Show, The Garry Moore Show, and The Mike Douglas Show. Conway also starred as Ensign Parker in the World War II sitcom McHale's Navy, a role that earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Throughout his career, Conway helmed his own series, including The Tim Conway Comedy Hour and The Tim Conway Show, and co-starred in several films alongside Don Knotts. He played Dorf in a series of films from 1987 to 1996 and lent his voice to Barnacle Boy in SpongeBob SquarePants from 1999 to 2012. Conway received numerous accolades, including five Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and induction into the Television Hall of Fame. He was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999.
