Tim Cahill is a renowned Australian former professional soccer player recognized for his aggressive and powerful style of play as an attacking midfielder and striker. He is the all-time top goalscorer for the Australia national team, having scored 50 goals in 108 appearances between 2004 and 2018. Cahill is considered one of the greatest Australian soccer players of all time and has been inducted into the Football Australia Hall of Fame. His playing career began in 1997 when he moved from Sydney to England to sign with Millwall, where he contributed to winning the Football League Second Division title in the 2000–01 season and was a key figure in Millwall’s run to the 2004 FA Cup Final. Before the 2004–05 season, he transferred to Everton, where he distinguished himself by earning both Everton Player of the Season and Everton Players' Player of the Season honors in his debut year. Cahill was also nominated for the Ballon d'Or and played in the 2008–09 FA Cup final with Everton. After his tenure at Everton ended in 2012, he played for teams including the New York Red Bulls, Shanghai Shenhua, Hangzhou Greentown, Melbourne City, and Jamshedpur.
