Timothy Wesley John Brady, born on 11 July 1956, is a Canadian composer and electric guitarist known for his work in contemporary classical music, experimental music, and musique actuelle. As a performer, he is recognized internationally as one of the world's leading experimental and new music guitarists. Brady is also a concert producer, record producer, and cultural activist. His compositions often blend a variety of musical styles from serialism to minimalism and frequently incorporate modern instruments such as electric guitars and electroacoustic instruments. His musical language is characterized by a synthesis of diverse styles, enabling him to express a distinctive personal voice.

Some of his early notable works include the orchestral pieces Variants and Visions from 1982, his Chamber Concerto from 1985, and the chamber trio ...in the Wake... composed in 1985 and 1988; he also created the song cycle Revolutionary Songs in 1994. Brady has received recognition for his contributions to music, including the 2003 Prix OPUS Composer of the Year award from the Conseil québécois de la musique and the 2006 Jan V.
