Tila Tequila: podcast appearances and interviews

Nguyễn Thị Thiên Thanh, born on October 24, 1981, is an American model, singer, and reality television actress. She was born in Singapore and raised in Houston, Texas. In 2001, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a modeling career and gained recognition through her active presence on social networking websites. Tequila appeared as a model in several men's magazines including Playboy, Stuff, and Maxim. She made her reality television debut on the VH1 show Surviving Nugent in 2003. Her popularity on Myspace led to her starring in her own reality series, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, which aired for two seasons and became MTV's second-highest-rated series premiere of that year. Besides her modeling and television work, Tequila pursued a music career, initially leading bands such as Beyond Betty Jean and Jealousy before releasing a solo debut single, I Love U, in 2007. Despite strong online sales, the song did not chart. She released several other singles and her second EP, Welcome to the Dark Side, in 2010. She also authored a book published in 2008. Tequila has used social media and personal blogs to share her comments, which have included controversial and offensive views. Notably, she expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler in a 2013 blog post. These statements led to her removal from Celebrity Big Brother in 2015. She has also been associated with Neo-Nazism and the alt-right, citing depression and drug use as reasons for some of her past comments.
