Thomas Hemingway is a military lawyer who has served as a legal advisor to the Office of Military Commissions. He graduated from Willamette University, earning his undergraduate degree before receiving his juris doctor from Willamette University College of Law. His military career began in November 1965, following his commissioning as a second lieutenant after completing the Air Force ROTC program. Hemingway was a distinguished graduate of this program and subsequently served in various roles, including associate professor of law at the United States Air Force Academy and senior judge on the Air Force Court of Military Review.
