Ta-Nehisi Coates: podcast appearances and interviews

Ta-Nehisi Paul Coates is an American author, journalist, and activist born on September 30, 1975. He gained a broad readership as a national correspondent at The Atlantic, where he wrote about cultural, social, and political issues with a focus on African Americans and white supremacy. Coates's work has been published in various periodicals, and he has authored four nonfiction books, including The Beautiful Struggle, Between the World and Me, We Were Eight Years in Power, and The Message. Between the World and Me received the 2015 National Book Award for Nonfiction. In addition to his nonfiction, he has written a Black Panther series and a Captain America series for Marvel Comics. His debut novel, The Water Dancer, was published in 2019. Coates is known for his progressive political stance and has been recognized with a MacArthur Fellowship in 2015.
