Susan Rogers: podcast appearances and interviews

Susan Rogers, born on August 3, 1956, is an American professor, sound engineer, and record producer. She is known for her work as Prince's staff engineer during his commercial peak from 1983 to 1987, contributing to albums such as Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day, Parade, Sign o' the Times, and The Black Album. During her time working with Prince, Rogers began the process of collecting and cataloguing his studio and live recordings, laying the groundwork for his now-famous vault. In addition to her collaboration with Prince, Rogers has worked as a sound engineer and producer for other artists including Barenaked Ladies, David Byrne, Robben Ford, Jeff Black, Rusted Root, Tricky, Michael Penn, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and Tevin Campbell. She is currently an associate professor at Berklee College of Music, where she teaches in the Music Production and Engineering as well as the Liberal Arts departments. Rogers is also the author of the book This Is What It Sounds Like, further contributing to the field through her writings.
