Stephanie Marie McMahon Levesque is an American businesswoman and retired professional wrestler who has held various roles within World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. She is the daughter of Vince and Linda McMahon and a fourth-generation wrestling promoter as a member of the McMahon family. McMahon began working for WWE at the age of 13 and made her on-air debut in 1999 as part of a storyline with The Undertaker. Throughout her career, she held the WWF Women's Championship once and served as the on-screen owner of Extreme Championship Wrestling during The Invasion. She also was the general manager of SmackDown and returned to regular on-air appearances in 2013 as part of the storyline faction The Authority. Her in-ring career concluded at WrestleMania 34 in April 2018. Off-screen, McMahon’s business career started as an account executive and progressed to becoming head of creative writing, senior vice president of creative, and then executive vice president of creative. From 2013 to 2022, she was the chief brand officer of WWE. In July 2022, she was briefly named CEO and chairwoman, and later co-CEO alongside Nick Khan following her father’s retirement amid controversy. She resigned from WWE in January 2023 following her father's return to the company.
