Simon Rex Cutright is an American actor and rapper born on July 20, 1974. He first gained prominence as an MTV VJ before establishing himself as an actor, appearing in the television series What I Like About You and starring in three films of the Scary Movie franchise. His filmography also includes the 2006 comedy National Lampoon's Pledge This. Transitioning into music, Rex developed a rap persona known as Dirt Nasty and released several solo albums. He was also a co-founder of the hip-hop group Three Loco. In 2021, Rex received critical acclaim for his leading role in Sean Baker's drama film Red Rocket, which earned him the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead.
