Sian Hayley Proctor is an American geoscientist, explorer, space artist, author, and astronaut affiliated with SpaceX. She is recognized for her historic achievements in space exploration, including becoming the first female commercial spaceship pilot and the first artist selected for an all-civilian orbital mission. As pilot of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft on the Inspiration4 mission, she made history as the first African-American woman to pilot a spacecraft. Proctor also served as the education outreach officer for the Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation mission.
