Sho Baraka, born Amisho Baraka Lewis on January 10, 1979, is an American Christian hip-hop artist and writer. He has recorded both independently and as a founding member of the 116 Clique. Initially signed to Reach Records, he left the label in March 2011 and subsequently co-founded the record label and group High Society, alongside fellow Christian rappers JR, Swoope, and Suzy Rock. Baraka's discography includes four studio albums: Turn My Life Up released in November 2007, Lions and Liars released in March 2010, Talented Xth in January 2013, and The Narrative in October 2016. His work is characterized by its engagement with themes rooted in faith and social issues, reflecting his career as both a musician and a writer.
