Shawn Levy: podcast appearances and interviews

Shawn Adam Levy, born July 23, 1968, is a filmmaker and actor who holds both Canadian and American citizenship. He is known for his work across multiple genres, with his films collectively grossing approximately 3.5 billion dollars worldwide. Levy initially gained recognition as a television director, notably for his work on The Famous Jett Jackson, before directing comedy films such as Big Fat Liar, Just Married, Cheaper by the Dozen, and The Pink Panther in the early 2000s. He achieved further success with the first three films in the Night at the Museum franchise and directed several other films including Date Night, Real Steel, and The Internship during the 2010s. As a producer, Levy was involved in the sci-fi film Arrival, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. He served as an executive producer for the entire run of the Netflix series Stranger Things, directing episodes across multiple seasons. In addition, Levy directed the Netflix limited series All the Light We Cannot See in 2023. He has collaborated with actor Ryan Reynolds on several projects, including Free Guy, The Adam Project, and the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine, which has become his highest-grossing film and the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
