Shaun Pinner: podcast appearances and interviews

Shaun Pinner is a former British Army soldier and journalist who joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a contracted fighter in 2018. He participated in the conflict during the Russian invasion of Ukraine and was notably involved in the Siege of Mariupol. During this period, Pinner was captured and sentenced to death in a show trial held by the Supreme Court of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. He was subsequently released in September 2022 through a prisoner exchange. In recognition of his actions in defense of Ukraine, he was awarded the Order of Courage, third degree, in December 2022 by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The award was given for his selfless acts in defending Ukraine's sovereignty.
