Shaun Cassidy: podcast appearances and interviews

Shaun Paul Cassidy, born on September 27, 1958, is an American singer, actor, television producer, and screenwriter. He has created and produced multiple television series, including American Gothic, Roar, and Invasion. Cassidy also served as an executive producer and writer for the NBC medical drama New Amsterdam. During high school, he signed a contract with Warner Bros. Records, resulting in several albums such as Shaun Cassidy, Born Late, Under Wraps, Room Service, and Wasp. Concurrently, he gained recognition as an actor on television, starring in the ABC series The Hardy Boys from January 1977 to January 1979, as well as in the short-lived television adaptation of Breaking Away and appearing on the daytime soap General Hospital. Cassidy also performed on Broadway in the musical Blood Brothers, during which he wrote his first television pilot, American Gothic, in 1995. In 2020, he returned to the stage with a one-man show titled The Magic of a Midnight Sky. As the son of Academy Award–winning actress Shirley Jones and Tony Award–winning actor Jack Cassidy, Shaun comes from a family with a strong entertainment background. He is the older brother of Patrick and Ryan Cassidy, the younger half-brother of David Cassidy, and the uncle of actress Katie Cassidy.
