Sharon L. Lechter, born on January 12, 1954, is an American accountant, author, and businesswoman. She is widely recognized as a financial literacy expert, a bestselling author, and a keynote speaker. Lechter is the co-author of the book Rich Dad Poor Dad and the founder and CEO of Pay Your Family First, a financial education organization. In addition to her work in financial education, she was appointed to the President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy in January 2008 for a two-year term. Her contributions focus on empowering individuals and families with the knowledge necessary to achieve financial independence and security.
