Shari Lapena: podcast appearances and interviews

Shari Lapena is a Canadian novelist born in 1960. Before embarking on her writing career, she worked as a lawyer and an English teacher. Her debut novel, Things Go Flying, was published in 2008 and was shortlisted for the Sunburst Award in 2009. She followed this with Happiness Economics, which was a finalist for the Stephen Leacock Award in 2012. Her books have achieved international popularity, being sold in forty territories worldwide. Lapena gained broad recognition with her 2016 thriller novel The Couple Next Door, which became a bestseller in Canada and internationally. She resides in Toronto. Her work continues to be influential, with an upcoming limited series based on her novel in development as of 2026.
