Sean Dietrich, known as 'Sean of the South', is an American author, musician, and humorist whose work centers on the Southern United States and its people. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, he moved to Walton County, Florida, at age 14 following his father's death by suicide. After dropping out of school and working in construction and other fields, Dietrich became a professional musician. He later returned to school and discovered a passion for writing. He has published more than ten books, some of which are self-published, and has contributed columns to publications such as the Mobile Press Register, Tallahassee Democrat, and The Bitter Southerner.
