Scott Olson: podcast appearances and interviews

Scott Olson is the Executive Director of the Community Home Lenders Association. His professional background includes a career in the music industry where he is recognized as a guitarist, bassist, music producer, and recording engineer. Olson has performed with bands such as Heart, playing guitar during two periods, from 1995 to 1998 and from 2002 to 2003. He also performed with Alice In Chains on their MTV Unplugged concert in 1996 and participated in benefit and concert events with the band in subsequent years. Olson served as a recording consultant for the film Almost Famous directed by Cameron Crowe. Throughout his career, Olson produced and engineered albums for a variety of artists including Heart, Jerry Cantrell, Queensrÿche, Deft Chords, Limp Bizkit, Pauline Oliveros, Powerman 5000, Unearth, Buckcherry, and Dredg. He attended Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie, Washington. In 2018, Olson was diagnosed with progressive dementia. Support from fellow musicians, including Nancy Wilson of Heart and members of Alice in Chains, helped fund his assisted living and medical expenses. As of 2019, Olson resides in a senior living facility in Kirkland, Washington.
