Sarah Townsend: podcast appearances and interviews

Sarah Townsend, also known as Sally Townsend, was born around 1760 and died in December 1842. She lived in Oyster Bay and is believed to have served as an informant for George Washington's Culper Ring, a spy organization established in the summer of 1778. Townsend provided information to her brother, Robert Townsend, who was a principal member of the ring. Her involvement contributed to the intelligence efforts during the American Revolutionary War. She was laid to rest at the Townsend Cemetery. Her life and contributions remain a notable part of the historical record associated with the Culper Ring and its activities during this period.
