Sarah Burke: podcast appearances and interviews

Sarah Burke was a Canadian freestyle skier and a pioneer of the superpipe event. She was a five-time Winter X Games gold medalist and secured the world championship in halfpipe skiing in 2005. Burke played a significant role in advocating for the inclusion of her sport in the Olympic program; she successfully lobbied the International Olympic Committee to add the event to the 2014 Winter Olympics. Recognized as a prominent athlete in her discipline, she was considered a medal favorite in the event. Beyond her athletic accomplishments, Burke was also involved in the media sector as a contracts lawyer and was affiliated with the Women in Media Network. Her career was tragically cut short when she died following a training accident in Utah in 2012.
