Samuel Joseph Myers was an American blues musician and songwriter, born on February 19, 1936, and passed away on July 17, 2006. Over a span of five decades, he contributed as an accompanist on numerous recordings by various blues artists. Myers initially started his career as a drummer for Elmore James. He became well known as a blues vocalist and harp player. For nearly twenty years, he served as the featured vocalist for Anson Funderburgh & the Rockets.
