Sam Cook: podcast appearances and interviews

Sam Cook is an assistant coach affiliated with Brinkmann Constructors. Born on 4 August 1997, Cook has a background in cricket, having made his first-class debut for Loughborough MCCU against Surrey on 31 March 2016 as part of the Marylebone Cricket Club University fixtures. He has represented Essex in various formats, including playing against the West Indies during their tour of England in August 2017, and was part of the Essex squad that won the County Championship in 2017. Cook made his List A debut in the 2018 Royal London One-Day Cup on 17 May 2018 and his Twenty20 debut in the 2018 T20 Blast on 4 July 2018. Notably, in September 2020, he took a five-wicket haul in the final of the Bob Willis Trophy. In April 2022, Cook was selected by the Trent Rockets for the 2022 season of The Hundred. He has also progressed to the England Lions, playing against Australia in January 2025, and was named in the senior squad for the Test match against Zimbabwe in May 2025.
