Ryan Crocker: podcast appearances and interviews

Ryan Clark Crocker is a retired American diplomat who served as a career ambassador within the United States Foreign Service. His diplomatic career includes appointments as the United States ambassador to Afghanistan from 2011 to 2012, Iraq from 2007 to 2009, Pakistan from 2004 to 2007, Syria from 1998 to 2001, Kuwait from 1994 to 1997, and Lebanon from 1990 to 1993. He has been recognized with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his service. Crocker's reputation among colleagues is notable; former Secretary of State Colin Powell described him as one of the very best foreign service officers, and President George W. Bush referred to him as 'America's Lawrence of Arabia.' General David Petraeus publicly expressed that it was a great honor to serve alongside him. In January 2010, Crocker assumed the role of dean at Texas A&M University's George Bush School of Government and Public Service, continuing his significant contribution to public service and international affairs.
