Russell Brand: podcast appearances and interviews

Russell Edward Brand, born on June 4, 1975, is an English comedian, actor, podcaster, and media personality. He initially gained public recognition as a stand-up comedian and as a host of radio and television programs in the United Kingdom. Brand was known for hosting the television show Big Brother's Big Mouth, a spin-off from the reality series Big Brother, which aired on E4. He made his first major film appearance in the British comedy St Trinian's in 2007 and subsequently starred in Hollywood comedies including Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek, Arthur, and Rock of Ages. Over the years, he has released several stand-up specials such as Scandalous, Messiah Complex, and Brandemic. Brand also hosted the radio show The Russell Brand Show periodically between 2006 and 2017 and hosts the podcasts Stay Free with Russell Brand and Under the Skin with Russell Brand. His career has been marked by significant media coverage not only for his comedic talents but also for his controversial behavior, including publicly known issues related to promiscuity, drug use, and provocative conduct. Since editing an edition of the British political weekly New Statesman in 2013, Brand has garnered attention for his activism concerning issues like wealth inequality, drug addiction, corporate capitalism, climate change, and media bias. In 2014, he launched the web series The Trews, authored the book Revolution, and participated in the documentary The Emperor's New Clothes. His activities expanded during the COVID-19 pandemic, with increased activity on his YouTube channel and surveillance of conspiracy theories, which later resulted in allegations and charges of sexual assault relating to incidents between 2006 and 2013, which Brand denies.
