Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint is an English actor born on 24 August 1988. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, a role he was cast in at the age of eleven. Grint appeared in all eight films of the series, beginning with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 2001 and concluding with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2011. Prior to his acting career, he participated in school plays and local theatre productions. Following the conclusion of the Harry Potter franchise, Grint expanded his work across film, television, and theatre. Starting in 2002, he took on roles outside of the Harry Potter series, including a co-leading role in Thunderpants, and starred in films such as Driving Lessons, Cherrybomb, and Wild Target. His filmography also includes Into the White, Charlie Countryman, CBGB, Moonwalkers, and Knock at the Cabin. In 2013, Grint made his stage debut in Mojo at the Harold Pinter Theatre. He has served as an executive producer and star of the television series Snatch, inspired by the film of the same name. His television work also includes roles in the black comedy series Sick Note, the mystery thriller miniseries The ABC Murders, and the psychological horror series Servant.
