Roy Richard Grinker: podcast appearances and interviews

Roy Richard Grinker is an American author and a professor of anthropology, international affairs, and human sciences at The George Washington University. His research focuses on North and South Korean relations, and he has conducted epidemiological studies on autism in Korea. As part of his doctoral research, he spent two years living with the Lese farmers and the Efé pygmies in the northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo as a Fulbright scholar. Grinker is the editor of the journal Anthropological Quarterly and has contributed op-ed articles to the New York Times. He has also appeared as a guest on PBS NewsHour. His most recent book, Nobody's Normal: How Culture Created the Stigma of Mental Illness, was named an editor's choice by the New York Times in February 2021.
