Roger Black: podcast appearances and interviews

Roger Anthony Black MBE, born on 31 March 1966, is an English former athlete renowned for his achievements in sprinting events. He competed internationally for Great Britain and England, securing three Olympic medals and two World Championship medals in the 400 metres. His accomplishments include winning individual silver medals in the 400 metres at both the Olympic Games and World Championships, and earning two individual gold medals at the European Championships. Black also contributed to gold medal victories in the 4 × 400 metres relay at both the World and European Championships. Throughout his athletics career, he accumulated a total of fifteen medals from major senior competitions, supplementing his two European junior gold medals, and achieved five national outdoor championships at 400 metres and one at 200 metres. As of July 2022, Black remains ranked joint third in the all-time Great Britain lists for the 400 metres. Since retiring from athletics, he has worked as a television presenter and motivational speaker. In 2008, he co-founded BackleyBlack LLP with fellow athlete Steve Backley. Black's versatility and success in sprinting have marked him as one of Britain's most accomplished athletes in his discipline.
