Robin Thicke: podcast appearances and interviews

Robin Alan Thicke, born on March 10, 1977, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He gained widespread recognition for his 2013 single 'Blurred Lines,' which featuring T. I. and Pharrell Williams, peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and received diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. The song was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. Thicke is the son of actress Gloria Loring and actor Alan Thicke. Prior to his solo recording career, he produced and wrote songs for R&B singer Brian McKnight, helping to introduce him and other R&B acts such as Brandy Norwood, Color Me Badd, Brownstone, 3T, Chanté Moore, and Kevon Edmonds. At age 16, Thicke signed with Interscope Records and released his debut studio album, A Beautiful World, in 2001. The album was not a commercial success. In 2005, he signed with Pharrell Williams' Star Trak Entertainment and released The Evolution of Robin Thicke in 2006, which debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 and included the single 'Lost Without U,' peaking at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. His subsequent albums, including Something Else (2007), Sex Therapy: The Session (2008), Love After War (2011), and Blurred Lines (2013), saw varying commercial success. Since 2019, Thicke has been a panelist on the Fox musical competition show The Masked Singer.
