Robert Charles Shearman, sometimes credited as Rob Shearman, is an English writer known for his work across television, radio, stage plays, and short stories. He has gained recognition for his short stories, which have received the World Fantasy Award. Shearman has also contributed to the long-running television series Doctor Who. His association with Jarvis & Ayres Productions, which involves Martin Jarvis and Rosalind Ayres, has led to the creation of six plays for BBC Radio 4, all broadcast in the station's regular weekday Afternoon Play slot, as well as a classic serial.
