Robert Lopez, born on February 23, 1975, is an American songwriter and librettist. He is best known for co-creating the musicals The Book of Mormon and Avenue Q. Additionally, Lopez co-wrote the songs featured in several Disney animated films, including Frozen, its sequel Frozen 2, and Coco, collaborating with his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez. He is signed to Disney Music Publishing and has achieved notable recognition in the entertainment industry. Lopez is one of only twenty-eight individuals who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony Award, a group often referred to as the EGOT. He is the only person to have won all four awards more than once, with two Oscars, three Tonys, three Grammys, and four Emmys to his name. His second series of wins began with an Emmy on June 27, 2010, and concluded with an Academy Award on March 4, 2018. This achievement established a record for the fastest completion of an EGOT interval at seven years and eight months, a record that was later surpassed by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
