Robert Lewis Drysdale, born October 5, 1981, is a Brazilian-American Brazilian jiu-jitsu 4th degree black belt under Léo Vieira. He is a retired undefeated mixed martial artist and operates his own BJJ academy as an instructor. Drysdale has secured multiple World Championships, earning recognition within the sport. Vice magazine referred to him as quote America's jiu-jitsu superhero, and BJJ Heroes regards him as quote the most accomplished American grappler of his generation. Gracie Magazine has called him the best Submission Wrestler in the World. Drysdale is one of only two Americans, alongside Rafael Lovato Jr., to have won the Mundials in the gi at 94 kilograms and above. Additionally, he is one of only four Americans to have claimed victory in the ADCC absolute division. Notably, at the 2007 ADCC, he submitted grappling legend Marcelo Garcia in just over two minutes, highlighting his skill and competitive achievements in the sport.
