Rick Moranis: podcast appearances and interviews

Frederick Allan Moranis is a Canadian comedian and actor born on April 18, 1953. He gained fame through his performances in several feature films during the 1980s. Moranis appeared on the sketch comedy series Second City Television in the 1980s before starring in a range of Hollywood films. His notable roles include appearances in Strange Brew, Streets of Fire, Ghostbusters and its sequel Ghostbusters II, Little Shop of Horrors, Spaceballs, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and its sequels, Parenthood, My Blue Heaven, and The Flintstones. Following the death of his wife in 1991, Moranis reduced his professional activities to focus on his family. During this period, he performed occasionally, including voicing a character in Disney's Brother Bear, producing comedy albums, and making appearances at fan conventions. In 2020, he signed on to reprise his role from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids in a sequel, but the project was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Moranis is also set to reprise his role as Dark Helmet in Spaceballs: The New One, scheduled for release in 2027.
