Rick Macci, born on December 7, 1954, is an American tennis coach and former player. He holds the title of United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Master Professional and has been recognized as USPTA national coach of the year seven times. Throughout his career, Macci has trained five players who achieved the rank of number one in the world, including Andy Roddick, Jennifer Capriati, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, and Venus Williams. His coaching achievements have contributed significantly to the sport, earning him prestigious honors such as induction into the USPTA Florida Hall of Fame in 2010 and becoming the youngest ever inductee into the USPTA Hall of Fame in 2017. Additionally, he serves as a consultant on the USTA Player Development Program in Boca Raton, Florida, demonstrating his ongoing influence within the tennis community.
