Richard Lui is an American author, journalist, filmmaker, and news anchor affiliated with NBC News. He currently serves as a breaking news anchor for MSNOW, broadcasting from Times Square in Manhattan. Throughout his career, Lui has been a co-host of NBC's Early Today and has anchored MSNBC daytime coverage. Prior to his roles at NBC and MSNBC, he worked at CNN Worldwide, where he became the first Asian American male to anchor a daily, national cable news show when he solo anchored the 10 a.m. hour on CNN Headline News from 2007 to 2010. Mediaite recognized Lui among the top 100 in news buzz on its Power Grid Influence Index and listed him as one of the 50 Sexiest in TV News. Lui is also a columnist, contributing to publications such as USA Today, Politico, The Seattle Times, Detroit Free Press, and San Francisco Chronicle.
