Richard D. Wolff: podcast appearances and interviews

Richard David Wolff, born on April 1, 1942, is an American Marxian economist recognized for his work on economic methodology and class analysis. He holds the position of professor emeritus of economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and serves as a visiting professor in the graduate program in international affairs at The New School. Wolff has also taught economics at Yale University, the City College of New York, the University of Utah, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, and The Brecht Forum in New York City. In 1988, he co-founded the journal Rethinking Marxism and has contributed to academic discourse through his publications and media presence. Wolff has directed the documentary Capitalism Hits the Fan and authored several books, including Occupy the Economy: Challenging Capitalism, Contending Economic Theories: Neoclassical, Keynesian, and Marxian, and Democracy at Work. His 2019 publication is titled Understanding Marxism. He hosts the weekly program Economic Update, produced by Democracy at Work, which discusses economic issues and is broadcast on various platforms including YouTube, radio stations, and CUNY TV. The program is also available as a podcast. Wolff is frequently featured in media outlets and is regarded as an influential figure in Marxian economics, with The New York Times Magazine naming him 'America's most prominent Marxist economist'.
