Rhys Thomas: podcast appearances and interviews

Rhys Thomas, born on 12 December 1978, is a British director, producer, actor, comedian, and writer who has received both BAFTA and Emmy awards. His notable work includes creating, writing, and directing the BBC/NBC comedy drama series Dodger, which serves as a prequel to Oliver Twist. He has also been involved in several television projects, including acting roles in Star Stories, The Fast Show, Sirens, and Nathan Barley. On radio and television, he is known for portraying Gary Bellamy on Radio 4's Down the Line and its television spin-off Bellamy's People. Thomas achieved critical recognition for his work on the documentary Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender, for which he was nominated for the Breakthrough Talent Award at the 2013 BAFTA Awards. He won awards for Best Arts Documentary at both the Rose D'Or and the International Emmy Awards in 2013. Additionally, he co-wrote, produced, directed, and co-starred in the spoof music documentary series The Life of Rock with Brian Pern, which aired on BBC Four and BBC Two.
