Reza Aslan: podcast appearances and interviews

Reza Aslan is an Iranian-American scholar of sociology, writer, television host, and professor of creative writing at the University of California, Riverside. He has authored five books on religion, including titles such as No God but God, Beyond Fundamentalism, Zealot, God: A Human History, and in 2022, An American Martyr in Persia. Aslan's work often explores themes related to Islam, Christianity, and religious extremism. He has contributed to television by hosting a documentary series on world religions for CNN called Believer and has served as an executive producer on the HBO drama series The Leftovers. Aslan’s academic and professional memberships include the American Academy of Religion and the International Qur'anic Studies Association. He is also a board member of the National Iranian American Council. His background includes a conversion from Shia Islam to evangelical Christianity during his youth before reverting to Islam, a journey that has informed much of his writing on religious themes.
