Rex Miller: podcast appearances and interviews

Rex Miller Spangberg was an American novelist known for his work in the horror and crime genres. He authored a series featuring the fictional homicide detective Jack Eichord, who investigates serial killers. The first novel in this series, Slob, introduced the character Daniel Bunkowski, a half-ton killing-machine, and earned Miller a nomination for the Bram Stoker Award for Best First Novel in 1987. Miller expanded on the character of Bunkowski by writing three additional novels titled Chaingang, Savant, and Butcher, which are set outside the Eichord series continuity. In addition to his crime novels, Miller authored Profane Men, a novel set during the Vietnam War, and the limited-edition St. Louis Blues. Beyond his writing career, Miller was a popular disc jockey in the 1960s and was regarded as an expert in juvenile-related collectibles, particularly old-time radio premiums. He passed away in Sikeston, Missouri, on May 21, 2004, at the age of 65. His diverse background as a novelist and collector contributed to his reputation within his fields of interest.
