Rebel Melanie Elizabeth Wilson, born Melanie Elizabeth Bownds on 2 March 1980, is an Australian actress, comedian, and producer. She graduated from the Australian Theatre for Young People in 2003 and began her acting career in Australia, appearing in the SBS comedy series Pizza from 2003 to 2007 and the sketch comedy show The Wedge during the same period. Wilson also wrote, produced, and starred in the musical comedy series Bogan Pride in 2008. After relocating to the United States, she appeared in several comedy films including Bridesmaids and A Few Best Men in 2011, which helped establish her presence in Hollywood.
