Rebecca Jean Fink, known professionally as Rebecca St. James, is an Australian contemporary Christian singer and actress. She began her performing career in Australia in the late 1980s and released her first full-length studio album in 1991. Signed to ForeFront Records in 1993, she achieved international recognition with her major label debut in 1994. Her albums God and Pray, both certified Gold by the RIAA, contributed significantly to her fame, with Pray winning a Grammy Award in 1999 for Best Rock Gospel Album. She also released a holiday album titled Christmas. These releases produced several singles, including God, Go and Sin No More, and Pray. St. James has solidified her status as a prominent artist in the Contemporary Christian Music genre, with additional albums such as Transform, Worship God, If I Had One Chance to Tell You Something, I Will Praise You, and Kingdom Come. Her music features beloved songs like Wait for Me, Reborn, Song of Love, Alive, Shine Your Glory Down, and Battle Is the Lord's. Throughout her career, she has earned nine No. 1 hits on Christian radio and has sold nearly two million albums. Beyond her music, St. James has authored over a dozen books, narrated a documentary, and appeared in nine films, including lead roles in Sarah's Choice and A Strange Brand of Happy. She has also contributed to a VeggieTales episode and a musical stage show. An outspoken advocate for sexual abstinence and pro-life causes, she is a spokesperson for Compassion International and is related to the band For King & Country through her brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone.
