Randy Gene Moss born February 13, 1977, is a retired American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League for 14 seasons. His career included stints with the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, and San Francisco 49ers. Moss is widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history and has set several notable records, including the NFL single-season touchdown reception record with 23 in 2007 and the rookie record with 17 in 1998. Throughout his career, he ranked second all-time in career touchdown receptions, leading the league five times in that category, and was also fourth in career receiving yards. Known for his exceptional speed, measured at 4.25 seconds in the 40-yard dash at a height of 6 feet 4 inches, and his outstanding leaping ability with a 43-inch vertical, Moss was renowned for his ability to make spectacular contested catches by overpowering defenders.
