Ramesh Srinivasan is an American engineer, social scientist, academic, and author. He is a professor of Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he holds a joint appointment in Design and Media Arts. Since 2015, Srinivasan has served as the founder and Director of the Digital Cultures Lab at UCLA and as Assistant Director of UCLA's DataX initiative. His work explores how technologies influence political, social, psychological, economic, and ecological realities worldwide. Srinivasan emphasizes the potential of technology to support equitable and environmentally sustainable practices, aiming to avoid fostering division and disconnection.
